A Pre-Wedding Shoot at Brimham Rocks: Jayne and Anthony

Why have a pre-wedding shoot? Well it’s a great chance for use to meet each other again (or maybe for the first time) before your wedding day. It’s such a good chance for us to get to know each other better and REALLY helps you to feel more relaxed about having your picture taken all day on the big day! After all, most of us are not used to having a proper camera pointing at us and it can make us (me included) feel a bit (or very!) stiff and awkward. I love to hear about you two as a couple and find out about how your wedding plans are coming along. It also gives you chance to ask me anything you’re wondering/worried about.

Why else? Well it’s FUN! So many of my couples - Jayne and Anthony included - come to their shoot feeling a little camera shy and expecting to find the experience kind of embarrassing, but they come out of it telling me they really enjoyed it. My style is very relaxed - we’ll generally have a bit of a walk about and a chat. Yes, I’ll position you together in front of certain backdrops and at certain angles to get the best and most flattering shots, but what I’m REALLY looking for are the genuine interactions and moments between you rather than, “OK stand there, look at the camera and smile!”.

Finally, and most brilliantly, you’ll come away with a gallery of gorgeous photos like these! What a great way to mark your time together just before your embark on married life. Today I’m sharing a selection of the photographs from a lovely pre-wedding shoot with Jayne and Anthony a couple of weeks ago at Brimham Rocks but you can expect to receive more than 50 photos in your full gallery.

We had such fun scrambling around the rocks and chasing after dogs Jack and Beatrice, who were pretty keen on making a run for it when we tried to tie them to a tree to get some shots of Jayne and Anthony alone! Your pre-wedding shoot can include your dogs/babies/kids if you wish - the more, the merrier and they can help distract you fro the camera if you’re feeling a little nervous to begin with.

I loved meeting Jayne and Anthony. We’re a great photography fit and I just can’t wait for their wedding next month at one of my favourite venues, the spectacular Silverholme Manor on Lake Windermere.
