Featured! A Yorkshire Dales Autumnal Barn Wedding: Bronwen and Tom
Back in October I photographed the absolutely beautiful wedding of Bronwen and Tom in Burnsall. I joined Bronwen for bridal prep photos in the village before we headed to the local church for the ceremony. The reception then took place at the absolutely fabulous Craven Arms pub which has a stunning little thatched barn nestled behind it: perfect for cosy, rustic wedding parties with some stonking pub grub. Right up my street!
I’m not going into too much detail here because you can read about it in full and see pics in this brilliant Whimsical Wonderland Weddings feature! Whoop whoop! They agreed with me that it was totally stunning and should be published for the world to see!
Followers may remember me posting soon after the wedding about how much I love the pictures of Bronwen and Tom together looking super-relaxed and happy. These are particularly special because, like most couples when I initially meet them, they were very apprehensive about having their photograph taken and expected to find it quite an awkward experience. So much so that they said they’d find it too cringey to even look at each other in the photos - a challenge even for me! I think you’ll agree that there’s nothing awkward or cringey about them in these photos: they look totally relaxed and radiant.
If you’re thinking about your wedding photography, I understand that you’re not used to having a camera pointed in your face and my goal is always to make you feel at ease on your wedding day. I love natural, happy photographs and will give you some gentle direction without it feeling at all forced or too staged. We’ll have a chat and some fun all the while. Couples are 90% nervous about being photographed when I first meet them and have 100% enjoyed the experience and results in the end!
