An Incredible Year of Wedding Photography: 2019 in Highlights!

A year ago I left a 12 year teaching career to go full time with my photography business, and what a year it’s been! While I miss my work friends (hello friends!) and the brilliant kids I was lucky to work with, I can honestly say that I now look forward to every aspect of my work. Most of it still doesn’t really feel like work, thb, because I love it so much, even the admin and accounting-type stuff!

If you follow me, you’ll know that I’m all about a beautiful, relaxed and natural style and I love working with stylish, laid-back couples who want to enjoy their day as it happens with no posing or feeling awkward-in- front-of the camera moments! My message seems to have resonated as I have been lucky to work with several wonderful couples and stunning venues this year who have fitted that bill perfectly.

People always say this but it has truly been a privilege to be there to capture these gorgeous weddings; I have laughed, I have cried, I have sprinted, I have lurked and then I’ve edited my heart out to create each finished gallery.

A massive THANK YOU to each couple for the amazing feedback and reviews, it really means so much to me.

I’m super-excited for next year as I have many more AMAZING weddings booked in (and 2021 is filling up fast too!), but for now it’s time to look back on some of my favourite shots of the year gone by. And to reflect that if you’re thinking of a change in your life, and you’re a little unsure about how it will pan out, just go for it or you’ll never know. You might learn, like me, that to make a living really doesn’t HAVE to feel like work. You can have fun, you can learn, you can grow, you can make yourself do things you didn’t even know possible and it feels good!

Happy New Year, everyone!

Now turn the sound up and enjoy my best bits from 2019…
